Dr Lucia Parussini

Lucia Parussini is Assistant Professor at University of Trieste and since 2014 she is Lecturer of Fluid dynamics course for Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

She received her Doctorate in Chemical and Energetic Technologies from the University of Trieste in 2007 with a Thesis on “Fictitious Domain Approach with Spectral Element Approximation”. After a few years as post-doctoral fellow in Fluid Machinery at the University of Trieste, she has been Quantitative Analyst Manager in modefinance srl, a company specialised in the financial consulting and companies’ creditworthiness evaluation, till 2012 when she got her current position.

Her research topics are:

  • Fictitious domain method with spectral elements for the resolution of thermo-fluid dynamic problems;
  • Polynomial chaos methodologies for the uncertainty quantification;
  • Optimisation with uncertainties;
  • Response surfaces;
  • Time series;
  • MCDM models.

She is the author of more than 30 scientific publications, most of them in international journals.
