Professor Lina Mallozzi – Department of Mathematics and Applications University of Naples Federico II

mallozziGraduated in Mathematics cum laude in 1987 from the University of Naples Federico II and received Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science in 1993. She is currently Associate Professor of mathematical analysis (2002?on) and game theory at the University of Naples Federico II. She has been visiting professor at University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign, USA) in 1992 and Helsinki University of Technology (FIN) in 2005.  Her research interests are mainly devoted to game theory, mathematical economics, optimization. Several papers published in international scientific journals have been devoted to mathematical aspects of multi-stage optimization problems that arise  in applicative contexts, particularly in game theory. Currently she has active scientific collaborations with prof. G. Carlier (Universitè Paris Dauphine) concerning applications of optimal mass transport; with prof. M. Finus (University of Bath) and prof. J. Eyckmans (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) concerning new solution concepts in cooperative games; with prof. J. Puerto (University of Seville) concerning facility location problems.

She has published several papers in the most prestigious journals of applied mathematics, and also conference proceedings. The refereeing activity has been done for many international scientific journals and for Mathematical Reviews from 2005, and from 2012 she is Associated Editor of the Journal of Global Optimization.  She is member of national and international scientific associations, as GTS (Game Theory Society) and ISDG (International Society of Dynamic Games). She organized several Minisymposia  and has been invited speakers at many international conferences.
