On Monday 19 February, the fifteen UTOPIAE ESRs will take part in a ‘Meet the Expert’ session at Glasgow Science Centre.
The ESRs have been working in groups to develop a series of table-top demonstrations that will introduce Uncertainty Treatment and Optimisation to a broad audience in a fun and accessible way. They will meet with both school groups and families on what is expected to be a busy day for the Glasgow Science Centre
This represents an excellent opportunity to launch what will be a 3 year outreach programme with the express purpose of demystifying a relatively little-known research field and inspiring younger students to consider a future academic career in a similar discipline.
