UTOPIAE presents the
International Conference on Uncertainty Quantification & Optimisation
Virtual event (on Central European time, CET)
16—19 November 2020
Given the ongoing global pandemic, the conference will be held as an virtual event, with live presentations, keynotes and access to recordings of all sessions.
Organised by the H2020 ETN UTOPIAE, UQOP gathers internationally renowned researchers developing methods in the fields of optimisation and uncertainty quantification. The conference themes cover all related aspects of computational uncertainty management and optimisation in the presence of uncertainty, with a particular emphasis on the case of complex numerical models and large simulation infrastructures.
The event will host several keynote lectures and presentations from researchers within the UTOPIAE H2020 research and training network.
The conference is run jointly with the 9th International Conference on Bioinspired Optimisation Methods and Their Applications (BIOMA 2020).
Conference Topics
UQOP welcomes papers on all aspects of optimisation and uncertainty quantification research, such as new algorithmic developments, high-impact applications, new research challenges, theoretical developments, implementation issues, and experimental studies. In particular, the conference will focus on the following topics:
- Robust optimisation
- Stochastic programming, stochastic inverse problems
- Bayesian inference
- Uncertainty quantification methods
- Sensitivity analysis
- Design of experiments,
- surrogate and reduced modelling,
- high-dimensional problems,
- probability theory and imprecise probability.
Application domains include, but are not restricted to, aerospace engineering and sciences, energy production and management, transportation, and manufacturing.
