Associate Prof Peter Korošec

peterkorosecAssoc. Prof. Peter Korošec received his PhD degree from Jožef Stefan Postgraduate School, Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2006. Since 2002 he has been a researcher at Jožef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia and since 2007 an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, University of Primorska, Koper, Slovenia. His research interest includes combinatorial/numerical optimisation with modern metaheuristics in parallel/distributed computing, and computer architecture.  He is currently a coordinator of H2020 Twinning project. His work is published in over 100 international scientific journals and conference proceedings. He serves as a reviewer of the established scientific journals and a programme committee member of several major conferences in the field of optimisation. He was in an organising committee of six biennial conferences (BIOMA 2004 – BIOMA 2016).
